Peters Township Swim Club

The RSVP deadline for FIRST SPLASH, the first meet of the 2010-2011 Short Course  Season, is September 9.

Please visit the PTSC website at www.ptsc.org and follow the hyperlink on the right side of the homepage to complete your RSVP.  You may also access the RSVP form by going to the 2010 – 2011 Short Course Schedule page or follow the hyperlink herein.  So now you have three ways to get to the RSVP form – you know what they say there are three ways to skin a cat (no offense intended; I love cats and even had three of them at one point in my glorious single life). 

For our newest members, please go ahead and RSVP but be advised that your swimmer’s coach will ultimately decide when your swimmer is ready to compete in their first meet.  Thus, by “rsvping” yes, you will be indicating that your swimmer is ready and willing to compete in that meet if his/her coach decides to enter them.

A tentative 2010-2011 Short Course Meet Schedule is now posted on the 2010-2011 Meet Schedule Page of the website.  Please note that this tentative schedule is subject to change.  Notably, the schedule is currently missing our traditional team travel meet because we are still working on selecting a suitable meet for our Club.  Additionally, some of  the meet information, including RSVP deadlines, has not been  included pending AMS providing more specific information. 

Nonetheless, we have posted what information is now available in order to provide our members with as much information as possible as early as possible.

PTSC will warm-up at 7:15 for BB champs prelims. If you make finals, you are expected to swim. Before leaving the meet, MAKE SURE THAT YOU CHECK RESULTS TO SEE IF YOU ARE IN FINALS.

The Scratch Rule is that if you qualify for finals and do not swim it (without scratching), you will be removed from the remainder of the meet!!!!!

As a PTSC athlete, you are expected to swim if you make finals. In the case that you absolutely cannot, you must scratch within the 30 minutes from the ANNOUNCEMENT of the results of that event.

THAT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

At North Park, there is very limited shade, the snack bar is very far away. You need to be prepared with plenty of hydration and shade, sunscreen (though if you sit in the sun, you may as well not race, the heat will be that great this weekend). Please take measures to be cool, hydrated, and happy!
