If this is your first time using Scrip, and have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at Dear PTSC Parents, There has been some discussion about dues for the upcoming swim season. Last week you received an email stating that dues would go up by $100 per swimmer at next week’s registration. The PTSC Board has reworked the budget so that dues will go up just $50 per swimmer. Other changes in this year’s budget include a $50 per family increase in the volunteer fee and a $50 per family increase in the fundraising (Scrips) fee. This will enable families to earn more credit for the following season, if they choose to do so. A mandatory raffle was also planned for this fall. While a raffle remains a possibility in the future, the board has decided against holding a raffle at this time. Upcoming dates to remember: Wednesday, August 25th – registration from 6 to 8:00 pm at the Peters Twp. Rec. Center . Knabes will be at registration with sample suits and other misc merchandise, so bring along your swimmer if they need to try on a suit. All current members will receive an invoice via email from Cheryl Grimm prior to registration detailing your family’s cost (including any applicable credits you earned last year). Sunday, September 19th – PTSC will hold its traditional kickoff picnic on Sunday, September 19th, at Shelter #4 in Peterswood Park from 12 until 3 pm (with lunch at 12:30 and the annual membership meeting at 1:30). Mason Laur continued to wow coaches and PTSC members by breaking his own club records in the 8 and under 25, 50 and 100 Fly with times of 15.89, 35.90 and 1:24.63, respectively. If you were thinking of ordering a new team suit, please hold off doing so. We will be changing the team suit design for the 2010 -2011 year. The new suit design will be previewed at registration and orders can be placed at that time. If your swimmer has an older version of the suit and can still wear it, no problem. My own daughter never got last year’s suit and may still not have to order a new one. Sometimes it pays to be a slow grower. See you at registration! |
