Parents are asked to gather in the stands by 6:15 p. We will then move to an open classroom for the actual meeting.

Just because you spend as much time in water as a fish does not mean that you have developed some special ability to absorb water by osmosis!

Please visit the PTSC website at www.ptsc.org and follow the hyperlink on the right side of the homepage to complete your RSVP.  You may also access the RSVP form by going to the 2010 – 2011 Short Course Schedule page or follow the hyperlink herein.  So now you have three ways to get to the RSVP form – you know what they say there are three ways to skin a cat (no offense intended; I love cats and even had three of them at one point in my glorious single life). 

For our newest members, please go ahead and RSVP but be advised that your swimmer’s coach will ultimately decide when your swimmer is ready to compete in their first meet.  Thus, by “rsvping” yes, you will be indicating that your swimmer is ready and willing to compete in that meet if his/her coach decides to enter them.

In addition to enjoying yet another grilled ‘burger or dog, you’ll be able to meet our new members, talk with friends about their great summer vacations (except me – I went nowhere and did nothing) and yes, vote on the annual club budget.  Doesn’t that sound like fun? 

This year, I  might even go so far as to put together age appropriate scavenger hunts with some modest prizes.  You’ll never know, unless you show!

 Hello PTSC,    Just wanted to send the team out a quick “HELLO  ”, and welcome everyone to the 2010-2011 season. I am super excited about this upcoming year and all the FAST swimming that PTSC is going to do.!    

 I am excited to tell everyone that the pool is filled with water and we are ready to start swimming. The first PTSC practices will be held August 31st ( Tuesday) at the high school swimming pool. The time schedule will be the same as last year, and your athlete should show up at the practice they swam in the Spring 2010 session. The first week back we will only  be in the water from Tues-Wed-Thurs ( due to the PTHS football game, GO Indians). The weekend of Labor day there will be no prac, and Labor Day we will have no practice. Tues., Sept 7th we will be back to normal schedule : ).  I am super excited to get this new year off to a great start!!                                                                                                          Swimmingly yours                                                                                                      Coach Becki

There has been some discussion about dues for the upcoming swim season. Last week you received an email stating that dues would go up by $100 per swimmer at next week’s registration.  The PTSC Board has reworked the budget so that dues will go up just $50 per swimmer. Other changes in this year’s budget include a $50 per family increase in the volunteer fee and a $50 per family increase in the fundraising (Scrips) fee. This will enable families to earn more credit for the following season, if they choose to do so.

A mandatory raffle was also planned for this fall. While a raffle remains a possibility in the future, the board has decided against holding a raffle at this time.

Upcoming dates to remember:

Wednesday, August 25th – registration from 6 to 8:00 pm at the Peters Twp. Rec. Center .  Knabes will be at registration with sample suits and other misc merchandise, so bring along your swimmer if they need to try on a suit.  All current members will receive an invoice via email from Cheryl Grimm prior to registration detailing your family’s cost (including any applicable credits you earned last year).

Sunday, September 19th – PTSC will hold its traditional kickoff picnic on Sunday, September 19th, at Shelter #4 in Peterswood Park from 12 until 3 pm (with lunch at 12:30 and the annual membership meeting at 1:30).
